Course Description
This course is designed to provide 1st year PhD students in sociology some foundational and instrumental training in academic and professional development. Topics can include but are not limited to academic writing and communication, networking skills, professional communication skills, career planning, publishing strategies, and fundamental theories and methods. Through workshops, discussions, and mentorship, the course prepares students to navigate the demands of graduate studies and build a successful career in sociology.
