Course Description
This seminar course provides a general survey of cognitive psychology including its classic research and theories (e.g., information processing models) before delving into a detailed treatment of a special issue or area of research representing the latest and cutting edge development of cognitive psychology.
Intended Learning Outcomes
CILO-1: Describe and communicate key concepts and theories related to the study of cognitive psychology.
CILO-2: Discuss critically how theory and research in cognitive psychology relates to the psychological experiences in her or his own specific subarea of study.
CILO-3: Communicate the importance of specific theoretical approaches in demonstrating the relationship between cognition and psychology.
CILO-4: Apply the concepts and methods of the theories in cognitive psychology in conceptualizing research programmes in his or her own area of specialization.
