Course Description
In this seminar-based course, students will engage with high-level readings from primary sources for exploration of various topics related to personality and social psychology, with an emphasis on the cultural dimensions of personality and social psychological phenomena and research. The readings will vary from year to year depending on the expertise of specialist staff and the needs for advanced study in the area of personality and social psychology.
Intended Learning Outcomes
CILO-1: Describe and communicate key concepts and theories related to a subset of theory and research in the area of personality and social psychology.
CILO-2: Discuss critically how theory and research in personality and social psychology relates to the psychological experiences in her or his own specific subarea of study.
CILO-3: Communicate the importance of specific theories in demonstrating the relationship between culture and psychology.
CILO-4: Apply the concepts and methods of the theories in personality and social psychology in conceptualizing research programmes in his or her own area of specialization.
