Conversation on subjects that have been researched by the students. Simulation of situations. Improvisation of dialogues. Discussion of film, news items, interviews.

At the end of the semester the students shall be able to: 1. Deal with most situations likely to arise whilst travelling in a portuguese speaking country; 2. Produce simple connected texts on topics which are familiar or of personal interest; 3. Give a prepared presentation on a familiar topic; 4. Comment on the main points of broadcast news about familiar subjects; 5. Describe experiences and events, dreams, hopes and ambitions; 6. Give, briefly, reasons and explanations for opinions and plans.
