A practical course involves the use of the structures of Portuguese. The formal topics covered include the use of Regular and Irregular verbs, introduction to the subjuntive mode. Students work with exercises and activities involving the use of structures in context.

By the end of this course, the students will be able to 1. Talk about the past events, including personal experiences; 2. Express opinion on various subjects; 3. Ask questions that express doubt and talk about the future; 4. Give advice; 5. Reproduce what some said; 6. Talk about popular festivals and customs; express will, desire, doubt, possibility.
