Course Description
This course will reinforce and further develop your basic training in spoken and written Spanish, oral practice for various everyday situations and essential grammatical structures. It will also give you a deeper idea of Spanish-speaking countries’ society and culture.During this course you will go even further through the gate of one of the largest cultures in the world: The Spanish speaking people.
Intended Learning Outcomes
CILO-1: Have greatly improved their communication skills in Spanish: oral and written comprehension and social interaction.
CILO-2: Have increased their working vocabulary and their competence of Spanish grammar to a higher level.
CILO-3: Have learned how to express themselves both individually and as part of a group in certain social situations, as well as defend their opinion and show disagreement in a debating exercise.
CILO-4: Have acquired the skills to write compositions according to the course’s level of knowledge.
CILO-5: Have gathered a basic knowledge of the main events and the key people of the Spanish history.
CILO-6: Comfortably make use of present, past and future tenses according to the communication needs.
CILO-7: Be prepared to participate in the official examination 'Diplomas de Español como Lengua Extranjera (DELE)', issued by the Instituto Cervantes on behalf of the Spanish Ministry for Education, Social Policies and Sport, These are the official and worldwide qualifications proving different levels of competence in the Spanish language.
