Course Description
The course gives students an opportunity to examine in some depth a variety of important current issues and trends in Human Resource Management (HRM). It explores current theory, analysis, and practice in selected areas of the field. The course introduces students to the theoretical and analytical issues shaping contemporary HRM thinking and practice. It also serves as a forum for students to exchange views on both the theoretical and practical aspects HRM as they might apply to the Macao context.
Intended Learning Outcomes
CILO-1: Explain up-to-date knowledge, practices, and challenges in contemporary Human Resource Management (HRM).
CILO-2: Evaluate how contemporary themes of HRM impact on Human Resource (HR) policies and practices of organizations.
CILO-3: Analyze organizational problems from multiple perspectives pertaining to HRM in modern organizations.
