Course Description
The course offers an in-depth discussion of some current and important topics in global business. The focus is on the various strategic and management challenges associated with the development of global strategies. Specific topics include global industry dynamics, development of strategic capabilities, management of strategic alliances, coordination and control processes in multinational corporations.
Intended Learning Outcomes
On completion of the course, students are expected to:
1. Know and understand the current opportunities, and challenges that globalization brings to multinational corporations.
2. Identify key trends (cultural, economic-financial, socio-political, technological, environmental, legal) that need to be tracked and analyzed by the management of corporations in the development of global strategies.
3. Understand how to sustain the value-adding performance of multinational corporations in the global competitive and cooperative environment.
