Course Description
This graduate-level course in Advanced Functional Analysis focused on the deeper structures and concepts of functional analysis, building upon the foundational principles covered in introductory courses. The course emphasizes the study of normed vector spaces, Banach and Hilbert spaces, linear operators, and their applications to various areas of mathematics, particularly in analysis, partial differential equations, and Mathematical Physics.
Intended Learning Outcomes
CILO-1: Apply the Closed Graph Theorem, Open Mapping Theorem, Banach-Steinhaus Theorem and operator theory to solve some exercises.
CILO-2: Develop and analyze abstract mathematical proofs involving infinite-dimensional vector spaces and operators.
CILO-3: Apply functional analytic techniques to solve complex problems in mathematics and physics.
CILO-4: Develop the ability to apply the results of functional analysis to settle down the problems from nonlinear Partial differential equation.
