Course Description
In collaboration with the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies at the University of London, this Common Law Theory and Practice seminar offers a deep dive into the English common law tradition, one of the most influential legal systems in the world. Designed for professionals seeking to understand the foundations, principles, and practical applications of common law, the course explores its historical development, key characteristics, and its impact on global business, governance, and dispute resolution.
Students will gain a strategic understanding of how common law shapes legal frameworks in jurisdictions such as the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Australia, and other Commonwealth countries.
