Course Description
This course is the continuation of Interpretation I; This course provides interpretation paractice and iscusses common mistakes of interpretation in both languages. Similarities and differences between the Japanese and Chinese languages are discussed. In addition to the language itself, ways of thinking and cultural elements in the translation of both languages will also be emphasized. At the end of the course, students will be able to perform intermediate level interpretation.
Intended Learning Outcomes
CILO-1: Gain practical skills of interpretation by interpreting Chinese into Japanese, and vice versa, in various situations.
CILO-2: Acquire some of the vocabularies and expressions often used in specific situation.
