This course is the beginning course in translation. The course introduces the concepts and skills required to translate between Japanese and Chinese, and Chinese and Japanese. At the end of this course, students will have acquired basic translation skills.

CILO-1: Translate simple text of Japanese into Chinese, and vice versa, accurately. CILO-2: Acquire and develop deeper awareness of difference and similarities of Chinese and Japanese in relation of translation by comparing vocabulary and expressions of Chinese and Japanese.
