This course will investigate the complex nature of Japanese culture and its interrelationship with the Japanese language and the Japanese people. Students will have a better understanding of Japanese culture and its language context after the completion of these courses.

CILO-1: Read academic writings in Japanese on the above subjects. CILO-2: Analyze and develop complex ideas and concepts pertaining to Japanese culture. CILO-3: To express their understanding of Japanese culture in the form of oral presentation in Japanese language. CILO-4: Build up a large vocabulary by reading writing such as newspapers, magazines and other reference book.
