Students will be introduced to a variety of data analysis techniques used to aid decision-making in tourism and hospitality management. Related statistical software (SPSS) will be introduced to familiarize students with the application of these quantitative techniques in tourism and hospitality management research.
Intended Learning Outcomes
1. Being able to design a questionnaire effectively and data collection accurately.
2. Being able to conduct data cleaning and prepare data for analysis
3. Being able to conduct descriptive statistics analyis for single numerical data and categorical data
4. Being able to compar two groups of data
5. Being able to conduct causal relationship analysis (linear regression etc)
6. Being able to interpret the analytical results and link it to business problems.
