This course aims to familiarize the students with the applications of physical chemistry concepts in the context of pharmaceutical sciences and provide an introduction in the physical properties of chemical systems and chemical kinetics relevant to the study of pharmaceutical sciences.

CILO-1: Describe the basic physical and chemical properties of pharmaceutical material. CILO-2: Describe time dependence using kinetics and the associated integrated expressions, and relate this to equilibrium chemistry and thermodynamics. CILO-3: Apply mathematical expressions in relation to chemical and pharmaceutical systems for analyzing data.
