Course Description
This course is designed to introduce students to a range of issues involved in the design, creation, management and use of electronic resources in the humanities. Topics include humanities resources on the digitized information, digital imaging, encoding and markup systems, text analysis, GIS, electronic dictionaries, scholarly electronic publishing in the humanities and interdisciplinary working.
Intended Learning Outcomes
CILO-1: Explain the major frameworks, contexts and issues related to the digital resources.
CILO-2: Identify and evaluate key language, vocabulary, and techniques in history.
CILO-3: Explain and evaluate the key points made in historical writing.
CILO-4: Analyze a historical source and develop writing skills to express the analysis using appropriate vocabulary and terminology.
CILO-5: Share ideas clearly and persuade others of opinion.
