This course provides an introduction to the politics and policies of the European Union (EU). It discusses the EU’s governance structure, decision-making processes, selected internal and external policies, and relations with other major powers. Additionally, it familiarizes students with key theoretical perspectives in EU studies.

CILO-1: Identify the key historical events and actors in the European integration process. CILO-2: Identify the key actors in European Union decision-making and explain their specific roles, interactions, and influence. CILO-3: Discuss and evaluate the different theories and concepts related to the European Union. CILO-4: Analyze the European Union’s performance in key issue areas and relations with other major powers. CILO-5: Apply theories and concepts to interpret current events related to European Union politics and policies.
