Course Description
This course is designed to enhance students’ understanding of the complex challenges that crises pose to government organizations, public administrators, and political leaders, domestically and internationally. It presents a series of perspectives on the causes and dynamics of crises and disasters and examines their recurring patterns and consequences. The focus is placed on the critical importance of crisis management preparedness, strategic response, inter-organizational collaboration, and leadership performance. This course further explores how the nature and impact of crises evolve in an increasingly interconnected world, with a particular focus on transnational phenomena such as financial collapses, large-scale migration and refugee flows, cyberattacks, and global disease outbreaks.
