This course develops advanced writing skills for composing referenced academic research papers in English literary studies and teaches students how to structure and support arguments. The course will use a variety of source texts and exercises as practical examples and will be assessed by coursework.

CILO-1: Evaluate existing critical literature, devise research questions and suggest appropriate intellectual approaches. CILO-2: Identify, plan and conduct original academic research in their field.
