Course Description
This course explores how Generative AI can enhance teaching and learning by personalizing instruction, optimizing engagement, and automating routine tasks. Students will examine generative AI tools, such as Copilot, ChatGPT, and etc. that help create adaptive learning experiences, promote classroom interactions, and address ethical considerations. Through hands-on projects and case studies, participants will gain practical skills in AI integration, design effective AI-based activities, and foster a deeper understanding of how AI applications transform teaching and learning.
Intended Learning Outcomes
CILO-1: Identify the core principles and technologies behind generative AI, including its key components and functionalities.
CILO-2: Critically appraise available generative AI tools and applications designed for educational use (e.g., their strengths, limitations, and suitability for various learning environments).
CILO-3: Develop lesson plans and curricula incorporating adaptive and personalized learning approaches.
CILO-4: Investigate key ethical considerations such as data privacy, algorithmic bias, and academic integrity and propose solutions to ensure fairness, inclusivity, and responsible use of generative AI in the classroom.
