This course is designed to introduce the basic concepts, system structures and applications of computer networks. It equips learners with the design principles of school LANs, basic network programming techniques and its maintenance. Special attention is given to school network architectures, network protocols, issues and principles of network interconnections, transport protocols TCP/IP, local area networks, and network programming techniques.

CILO-1: Learners will understand design principles of school LANs, basic network programming techniques, and its maintenance. CILO-2: Learners will learn some advance network skills such as school networks architectures, network protocols, issues and principles of network interconnections, transport protocols TCP/IP.
