This course will examine relationships between grammar, meaning and context and the role of vocabulary knowledge in language learning. It will also identify issues and problems in teaching and learning English grammar and vocabulary and discuss how to plan and teach grammar and vocabulary effectively in Macau classrooms. In addition, strategies for helping learners gain control over systems of English grammar as well as learner strategies in acquiring English vocabulary will be explored.
