Course Description
This course will give students an in-depth perspective on the most advanced techniques and algorithms currently used in smart power grid related area. These techniques includes cutting-edge concepts such as vehicle-to-grid, hydrogen, artificial intelligence and sustainable energy and environmental challenges. Case studies of smart power grid demonstration projects will be presented and discussed.

CILO-1: Explain the fundamental and key elements of smart power grid.
CILO-2: Evaluate technology options pertaining to renewable energy generation, energy storage, data handling and communications for Smart Grids.
CILO-3: Analyze the impact of smart power grid technologies on sustainable development of energy system and potential market opportunities.
