Course Description
This course explores the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in modern power systems, focusing on intelligent solutions for power generation, transmission, distribution, and consumption. Topics include AI for load forecasting, economic dispatch, optimal power flow, fault detection, and predictive maintenance. The course also covers smart grids, renewable energy integration, and demand-side management using AI. Emerging technologies such as deep learning, reinforcement learning, and large-language models will be discussed. Through case studies and hands-on projects, students will develop practical AI skills to enhance power system efficiency, reliability, and sustainability.
