This course offers special topics in Journalism and Mass Communication which includes in-depth analysis of media effects and journalistic practices. Topic may vary from year to year.

CILO-1: Understanding, identifying, describing and using theories of mass media. CILO-2: Providing a basic analysis of contemporary & culturally-specific mass media journalism & its practices. CILO-3: Providing a scholarly analysis & understanding of the relations between mass media technologies & journalistic logics & imperatives. CILO-4: Understanding the relations between & differences regarding categories mass media journalism across different historical periods. CILO-5: Functioning effectively as analysis of mass media journalism.
