Course Description
Principles of microbiological, biochemical, and biophysical processes used in environmental waste treatment and remediation processes, with particular emphasis on water quality control processes.
Intended Learning Outcomes
CILO-1: Identify, formulate, and solve biological water and wastewater treatment issues using microbial engineering and physical-chemical principles.
CILO-2: Apply environmental engineering principles, particularly in the areas of water and wastewater treatment, to design and develop efficient and reliable water treatment processes.
CILO-3: Create solutions that optimize the present water and wastewater treatment process design while considering relevant constraints.
