This course introduces advanced topics in computer vision and pattern recognition for PhD students. It emphasizes recent developments of theory and applications in computer vision and pattern recognition. Topics include but not limited to: High-level and low-level computer vision, image processing/restoration, image segmentation/classification, object detection/recognition, multimedia forgery detection, etc.

CILO-1: Apply AI/machine learning methods in computer vision and pattern recognition. CILO-2: Create a research idea and review the literature. CILO-3: Formulate research problem, design and implement the solution. CILO-4: Collect and analysis data and conclude the results.
