Course Description
The student will have to translate a substantial piece of text of a particular genre. The course involves close reading of some of the iconic translation works, as well as introducing students to translation concepts, procedures and methods. Discussion sessions will be conducted on how to solve translation problems and how strategic decisions are to be made. The instructor will give guidances and comments during the translation process and students will learn to evaluate their own translation and articulate their translation experience.
